Pregnancy is an extraordinary time, full of emotion, surprises, and wonderful, joyful moments. Soon (believe me, even if it's just the beginning, pregnancy will fly by before you know it) you'll be a mother. I know you're eagerly awaiting this moment, but heed some good advice and celebrate this moment 100%. How? I have a few ways to do this:
Take care of your body
I'm sure I don't need to convince you to visit your doctor regularly or get all the recommended tests. Remember to eat a healthy, balanced diet, full of fruits and vegetables, and get plenty of walks and rest. Limit your coffee intake and eliminate alcohol and cigarettes. If your doctor doesn't recommend it, sign up for pregnancy yoga, exercise, or swimming. Get plenty of rest and get a good night's sleep. Sure, you can't sleep in "on the fly," but... it can't hurt to try, right?
Take care of your mind
Pregnancy is a fantastic time to slow down, look inward, and enjoy small pleasures, like an evening with a book and hot ginger tea, a walk with a friend, or buying another adorable little onesie. Play board games, do crosswords, Sudoku, or puzzles. Learn foreign languages, crochet, or photography. Start doing what brings you joy and make your dreams come true. Enjoy every peaceful moment! You'll soon miss that "boredom."
Take care of your appearance
Did you know that pregnancy makes every woman glow? You might not believe it when you look in the mirror in the morning, but look back at your pregnancy photos later and you'll see. Expecting a baby is a magical time, one that makes you float 10 cm above the sidewalk, often with an unconscious, dreamy smile plastered on your face. It's not always so pretty, though, you don't always get enough sleep, and sometimes the little human's acrobatics in your belly are probably quite exhausting. That's why it's worth helping nature and applying light, natural makeup that will highlight your best features and conceal imperfections. Even if you're staying home and don't need to look perfect every day, try to take care of your hair, nails, and skin. Regularly use creams, scrubs, balms, and masks. This will boost your self-confidence and make you feel special. Remember to choose only safe, natural cosmetics. There is no reason to avoid the hairdresser, but if you dye your hair, pay attention to the type of dye – it should not contain ammonia.
Take care of your relationships
Take your friends to the cinema, take your brother for a walk, or your husband on a date. Start participating in a forum for expectant mothers in your city; it's more fun together! Who knows, maybe you'll find some friendly company for daily strolls with your little ones in their strollers? Visit family, catch up with friends, and remember that for the first few months of your baby's life, you'll likely be too focused on him to worry about keeping in touch with other friends.
If you already have one child, it's essential to ensure that your younger sibling doesn't feel less important or pushed into the background after their arrival. Start preparing your older child now for this revolution that will soon take place in the life of the entire family. There are many ways to do this, depending on the age of your little one, but it's definitely a good idea to involve them in putting together the layette, having daily conversations with their bump, looking at ultrasound printouts, or reading books together to prepare your child for the role of a big brother or sister.
Take care of your body, mind, appearance, and relationships—take care of yourself and your family. Pregnancy is a special, joyful time of anticipation and preparation. Make the most of it!
