Perfect for busy people, those constantly in a hurry, those who don't like to cook, or simply those who enjoy convenience. The box diet, as we're talking about, has been a hit in the market for some time now, constantly gaining new fans. It's so popular that choosing a company to order food from can be quite a challenge due to the wide range of suppliers. Diets for exercisers, those looking to lose weight, 1500-calorie diets, vegetarian options… the choice is yours! But is such a convenient and quick way to "cook" really as ideal as it seems at first glance? Let's find out!
On the plus side
A boxed diet is simply a pre-packaged meal delivery service (usually five) delivered to a designated location by a pre-selected company. And here's the first advantage – catering is delivered almost literally right to your door. The number of meals is also carefully chosen to ensure you don't overeat or go hungry. Typically, the boxes contain five meals: breakfast, a second breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and dinner. Eating meals at regular intervals helps stabilize your metabolism and help you achieve your desired weight. In this case, a boxed diet perfectly meets our goal. Furthermore, our meals are conveniently packaged, so each box can be stored in a bag without the fear of spillage or spillage. The contents of the boxes are entirely up to you and your goals. The range of boxed diets is now so vast that you can order everything from vegan and gluten-free dishes to meals with white meat, low-calorie meals, and protein-rich options. The selection is truly extensive. This approach relieves us of the burden of wondering what we'll have for dinner tomorrow and whether we'll accidentally consume too many calories if we plan to stick to a diet of, say, 1200 calories. This is certainly a major advantage of this type of diet. But what about the downsides?
Downside
Without a doubt, the biggest downside to a box diet is its price. The monthly cost of meals ranges from 1,200 to 2,000 złoty. Companies providing box diets often encourage their customers with consultations with a dietitian to create the most balanced diet possible. Unfortunately, this isn't always the case... Before choosing a company to deliver your food, carefully check what the consultation with a specialist entails, whether it's free or whether there are any requirements to be met to be assessed by a dietitian. Another disadvantage is that we don't know exactly what's in the delivered boxes. Are the products that the website claims are organic actually organic? Were healthy ingredients used instead of unhealthy ingredients, and is the calorie count accurate? Unfortunately, only by preparing the meals ourselves can we be sure of what we're eating. Another disadvantage of box diets, contrary to appearances, is their limited reach. Catering companies operate primarily in large cities; people from smaller towns don't have access to this facility. We also don't have to like every meal. Even though we strictly define the diet we want, it may happen that we receive something we don't like.
Remember, however, that even the most well-balanced meals won't guarantee a slim figure if you spend all day in front of a computer or TV. Physical activity is fundamental and key to success. Perhaps it's worth purchasing a gym membership along with your meal plan?
