Mattifying blotting papers are a must-have for most people with oily skin. They're essential, especially now, as temperatures rise day by day. This seemingly inconspicuous product helps keep makeup fresh, improves its appearance, and enhances our comfort throughout the day. Many brands of blotting papers are available on the market, usually packaged in a cardboard box. They may not be expensive, but they usually contain quite a few, and we only use a few for a single application. That's why today we're sharing the idea of homemade blotting papers! They're a cheap, quick, and effective solution—what more could you ask for?
To make it we need tissue paper:
1. rolls of greaseproof paper
2. rulers or set squares
3. pencil
4. knife/scissors
5. tissue paper packaging - it can be a box from used powder or a cardboard box from tissue paper
Most of us probably have the above items on hand. :-) And if not, the cost of sandwich wrapping paper is really low - about 3 PLN/12m.
Let's start the execution!
1. First, if you have a used cosmetic packaging, clean and disinfect it thoroughly and then leave it to dry.
2. Now it's time to measure out the space in our powder box / tissue paper box - this is necessary to match the size of the tissue papers.
3. Next, measure and trace the size onto a sheet of greaseproof paper. Do this gently to avoid leaving any pencil marks on your skin.
4. Now it's time to cut out the prepared amount of tissue paper. Do this slowly and carefully, ensuring the pieces are relatively even. Scissors or a sharp knife work well for this.
5. Time to put our tissue papers into the packaging. :-)
Ready!
In the case of a blotting paper box, it's worth remembering to subtract a millimeter or two from the measured dimensions so that the blotting papers fit easily into the packaging. Simple, right? :-) And really effective! The blotting paper absorbs excess sebum in exactly the same way as pre-made blotting papers from the drugstore shelf. It effectively reduces shine in the T-zone without damaging your makeup. After using the blotting paper, simply dust your face with powder if necessary, and you're ready to conquer the world again!
They say that simple solutions are always the best, and in this case, they're 100% true. From a single sheet of tissue paper, you can make a huge number of tissue papers. And in a very short time. In this situation, is there really any point in overpaying? Probably not. :-)
