Rub, don't control
What if... you could create a smokey eye, but not worry about blending it perfectly? Even better, create it and then—as if casually—draw it beyond the edges of the eye, achieving a slightly careless, yet nonchalant look? Let's take inspiration from Rolland's show, where the blending has a visibly triangular shape. To create this look, all you need is a matte, brown clay shadow, COCOA CUP, and a fluffy blending brush . Apply the shadow, building the pigment intensity—from intense on the eyelid to a softer, cloud-like shade on the temples.
The makeup artists at the Schiaparelli show had a different take on a blurred smokey eye. Here, the blur is subtle, as if you've been out all night. For this effect, it's best to use a soft eyeliner – for a brown smokey eye, the jumbo eyeliner in MAPLE works well.
