How to care for the ends of your hair

Jak dbać o końcówki włosów

Smooth, silky, and shiny hair is every woman's dream. Unfortunately, frequent blow-drying, coloring, or even daily treatments can cause split ends, brittleness, and dullness. Hair strands are dead tissue, which, once damaged, cannot be rebuilt or repaired. The oldest sections of hair are most vulnerable and require particularly intensive care. Therefore, it's best to prevent damage by adopting healthy hair care habits and, above all, protecting them from further damage.

How to care for the ends of your hair

- trim your hair regularly to reduce splitting, the ideal option is to use so-called hot scissors during a visit to the stylist;

- do not forget about frequent oiling with a product appropriate to the porosity of your hair;

- after each wash, use a conditioner or mask that will moisturize and nourish your strands;

- invest in a brush with natural bristles that helps close the cuticles or a Tangle Teezer if tangling bothers you; - be gentle with your hair, don't tug, especially when it's wet;

- limit heat styling;

- use thermal protection products;

- remember about a healthy diet rich in fats, vitamins A and E, zinc, iron and copper;

- drink adequate amounts of fluids during the day, especially mineral water.

The best way to protect

One of the best ways to protect your ends, keeping them moisturized, soft, and shiny, is a two-step process. The principle is simple: you need your favorite oil, which you use for regular oiling, and a silicone serum, especially one enriched with moisturizing ingredients like aloe vera leaf extract. After towel-drying your hair, spread a little natural oil on your hands and rub it into your hair, focusing on the lower layers, which are often the driest. Next, apply the aforementioned silk, which is essential to be alcohol-free. The silicones contained in it will protect your ends from wind, cold, and sun, prevent moisture loss, and create a protective layer on their surface, limiting water evaporation from the hair. Additionally, they will reduce the impact of mechanical damage, which often leads to split ends, allowing you to grow your hair quickly.
