How to Nourish Your Skin After Summer? Four Steps to a Well-Cared-For Body in Autumn

Jak odżywić skórę po lecie? Cztery kroki do zadbanego ciała jesienią

Autumn is a special time for your skin. To maintain a healthy, sunny complexion, add radiance, and nourish it after excessive sun exposure, you should prioritize proper skincare. Fortunately, you don't have to invest in expensive products; natural ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen are perfectly sufficient. Coffee, oils, water, vegetables, and fruit are your best allies. They will help you care for your body and keep your skin in excellent condition, regardless of the weather. In just four steps, you'll feel and see the difference. Learn about them and enjoy the results in just a few days!

First, exfoliation

Sunbathing not only gives your skin a chocolatey glow, but also often causes discoloration, uneven skin tone, dullness, and dryness. To properly regenerate your entire body after the summer, exfoliation is a good idea. It will lighten discolorations, even out the skin's texture, smoothen, and add radiance to your skin. It will also prepare it for subsequent beauty treatments and improve the absorption of moisturizers. The best homemade exfoliator you can treat yourself to is a coffee one. There's no better exfoliator, and it only takes a few minutes to prepare. You need five tablespoons of coffee grounds (previously brewed), a little unscented shower gel, and a few teaspoons of olive oil, to your liking. Mix all the ingredients together and thoroughly massage the resulting thick paste over your entire body. A coffee exfoliator perfectly exfoliates dead skin, smooths, helps fight cellulite, and thanks to the olive oil, it also provides fantastic hydration. If you do it regularly, once a week, you'll notice results very quickly. However, remember not to use this scrub on your face.

Secondly, moisturizing

In autumn, not only is our skin still feeling the effects of sunbathing, but it's also susceptible to dryness caused by the heating. Deep moisturizing and regular nourishment are therefore incredibly important and essential. It's worth swapping lightweight balms for precious oils, which are fantastic not only for body care but also for hair. Most of us have coconut oil or traditional olive oil at home. It's worth taking them to the bathroom for a moment and massaging them into damp skin daily after an evening bath. You can also apply a small amount to your hair twice a week, preferably overnight, starting at mid-length, and then washing thoroughly in the morning. The result? Smooth, soft, and soft-to-the-touch skin, and tamed, moisturized, and shiny hair.

Thirdly, hydration

Post-holiday dryness often leads to dehydration. The sun, combined with salty water, is merciless. Therefore, in addition to regular moisturizing, don't forget to hydrate. Drinking water regularly will quickly bring results, improving your skin's elasticity, reducing wrinkles, reducing redness, and boosting radiance. If you struggle to drink at least a liter and a half daily and aren't a fan of mineral water, add a few slices of lemon and mint or diced watermelon. You'll have a healthy, refreshing, and truly delicious drink. In addition to water, you can also take flaxseed oil or evening primrose oil. They will care for your skin from the inside out. If you can't swallow the oil on its own, add it to salads or smoothies. Unfortunately, flaxseed isn't the tastiest, but it's very healthy, so it's worth incorporating it into your daily diet.

Fourthly, a balanced diet

It's no secret that diet is the foundation of health, not only for our skin but also for our entire body. So, it's worth remembering to eat five balanced, healthy meals. Avoid unhealthy foods, ready-made, processed meals, and high-calorie snacks. Make sure your plate is loaded with fruits and vegetables. You can also opt for healthy, filling smoothies that are packed with vitamins! You'll definitely love this blend of a banana, an apple, a handful of baby spinach, half a lemon, a teaspoon of honey, and a glass of water. Blend it and you'll discover how delicious it is! And if spinach isn't your thing, be sure to try a carrot, apple, and nectarine blend, or a banana and strawberries blend. Add oatmeal, flaxseed, or chia seeds, and you'll have the perfect breakfast or lunch!
