Although the current weather doesn't indicate it, spring is fast approaching. In just a moment, in just a moment, we'll be putting away our warm clothes and enjoying the first rays of sunshine. It would be a good idea to prepare for this occasion and take extra care of ourselves, wouldn't it? Today, we'll share some tips on what you can do to welcome spring healthy, well-groomed, and happy.
Assess the situation and determine a plan
If you haven't fallen into a skincare slump this winter, that's great! It's worse if you've spent the last few months on the couch, but you can manage that too. Take a moment and think about what you want to work on most, what area of your body you've neglected the most, and create an action plan. Determine your priorities and get to work.
Don't forget about check-ups
Our health is the foundation of our well-being and appearance. Even if nothing ails you, schedule a checkup to ensure you welcome spring healthy and happy. When you have some free time, also schedule a dental checkup. Regular visits to a specialist will allow you to enjoy your smile for years to come.
Take care of your diet
After winter, our skin and hair need regeneration. So, take care of your diet and nourish your body from the inside out. Eat more vegetables and fruit, drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day, and limit unhealthy snacks. After changing your habits, you'll quickly notice the first results.
Focus on activity
You don't have to hit the gym five times a week. If you haven't been active much in the winter, try stretching at home or other exercises tailored to your needs and abilities. The key is to get your body moving in the spring!
Control your sleep
It's hard to get up when it's still dark outside, but don't give up and fight for a regular bedtime. Even on weekends, don't sleep until noon, or you'll struggle to get up in time for your alarm on Monday. Also, make sure you get enough sleep. Remember to sleep at least eight hours, only then will your body properly regenerate.
Exfoliate regularly
Even though we tend to hide our bodies under thick layers of warm clothing in winter, don't skip regular exfoliation. They'll ensure your skin welcomes spring in the right condition – fresh, firm, smooth, and even-toned. You don't want the first warm days to be accompanied by dry patches and flaky skin that prevent you from baring your arms, do you?
Intensively moisturize
The same applies to moisturizing. Don't forget about any areas of your body, especially your feet, elbows, and knees, which can be particularly problematic. Regularly use a moisturizing lotion or oils, and your skin will look more beautiful and younger. It will also gain a healthy glow, smoothness, and softness. Also, remember that on well-groomed, nourished skin, any makeup product immediately looks better.
Refresh your hairstyle
After winter, our hairstyles usually need a little refresh. Wearing hats, ends rubbing against jackets and scarves, and low temperatures all take their toll on our hair. So, schedule an appointment with your hairdresser and refresh your look. A simple trim usually adds volume, improves manageability, and broadens your smile.
Touch your skin with the sun
Tanning beds have long gone out of style, but it's always good to have a delicate tanning lotion on hand. Rub the product in for a few days, right after your evening shower, and you'll quickly see the first results. Your skin will gain a natural, light tan, perfectly suited to the spring climate.
Organize your makeup bag
The arrival of spring is the perfect time to update your makeup bag. We shove dark colors to the bottom of the drawer and pull out pastels, luminous browns, moisturizing lipsticks, and highlighter. Spring makeup shouldn't be heavy; it needs to be light, girly, and above all, fresh.
Look through your wardrobe
Replace thick sweaters with lighter ones, and while you're at it, take stock of your wardrobe and go on a little shopping spree. However, remember to donate or throw away anything you no longer need, don't wear, or is worn out.
Go wild with your manicure
The culmination of your preparations should be a manicure and pedicure in vibrant spring colors. Choose trendy pastels or a vibrant, timeless red. All shades of pink will also look beautiful, perfectly matching the spring atmosphere. Let plums, burgundy, and black wait until autumn arrives.
