How to use unwanted cosmetics?

Jak wykorzystać nietrafione kosmetyki?

From time to time, we come across cosmetics that don't suit our skin's preferences or meet its needs. This is normal and completely understandable. However, there's good news – a bad purchase doesn't have to mean throwing money away. We can successfully repurpose these products, saving them from ending up in the trash. If you're struggling to find a solution to a weighing-down hair oil or a clogging face cream, this post is for you!

Hair shampoo

Have you found a shampoo that doesn't cleanse your hair or tangles it terribly? You don't have to throw it away. Try washing your makeup brushes with it; it should work well and quickly clean even the most foundation-soaked ones.

Hair mask or conditioner

If a conditioner or mask weighs down your hair and doesn't work well, use it as shaving foam for your legs. This proven method not only softens hairs perfectly before shaving, but also fantastically soothes irritation and reduces the risk of nicks. Once you try it, you won't want to stop.

Two-phase makeup remover

If you've come across a product that stings and irritates your eyes, you can successfully clean your brushes with it. It's especially useful for eyeliner brushes, which are usually difficult to clean once the product dries. Thanks to its oily formula, this liquid will remove dirt in a flash, and your eyes will thank you.

Face cream

Sometimes, face cream clogs pores or doesn't moisturize enough, but you can easily use it as a foot cream. In everyday care, paired with warm cotton socks, it's sure to do the trick – smoothing, softening, and nourishing the skin. It's an old, reliable method, appreciated especially by those who love trying new skincare products.

Face or hair oil

Natural oils can work wonders for your hair care routine, but sometimes you come across one that's not suited to your hair or face needs. Don't let the bottle gather dust in the corner of your drawer. Have you heard of oiling your nails and cuticles? Rub olive oil regularly around your nails, and you won't have to wait long for the results. No more splits, dry cuticles, stronger, faster-growing, and more damage-resistant nails are just some of the positive effects of oiling. You can also add a few drops of oil to your bath to moisturize and nourish your body.

Mascara

Mascara clumping together and giving your lashes insect legs? Swap it out, but don't throw away the packaging. Its brush can easily replace your eyebrow wand. Just clean it thoroughly, and you'll find it useful for brushing out excess eyebrow styling products or simply shaping them if they're naturally unruly.

Hair spray

Having trouble using up hairspray, which can turn your hairstyle into a helmet? Try taming your eyebrows with it too. Just spray it gently on a clean mascara wand and comb through your brows. This trick will keep them tamed all day long.

Antiperspirant

If antiperspirant doesn't provide the desired feeling of freshness, it's not worth forcing yourself to use it. However, it can work well as a shoe deodorant. It will freshen the inside of your shoes, fill them with a pleasant scent, and come in handy in stressful and uncomfortable situations. Especially if you're exposed to wearing winter boots all day.

In summary, whenever you think about throwing away a cosmetic, think twice about whether you can use it differently than the manufacturer recommends. In most cases, you'll surely come up with a brilliant idea and give the product a second life. ;)
