Specifically, coconut oil. Fats, the healthy kind, generally play a very important role in our bodies. They build, among other things, the skin's cell membranes. However, as women, besides a healthy diet and a beautiful figure, we also care about proper skin hydration. For this purpose, reach for coconut oil. It's a universal cosmetic that will take care of your hair, skin, and nails. It's important that the oil is unrefined and cold-pressed.

The magic of coconut oil, beyond its intense moisturizing properties, also lies in the fact that its unrefined, extra virgin form is antibacterial and virtually allergy-free. And, of course, it's an all-natural cosmetic. Below, you'll find some valuable uses for this product:

Coconut oil and the eyes: If you use waterproof mascara or a two-phase makeup remover, you can safely reach for coconut oil. At room temperature, it's solid. So, apply a small amount to a wet cotton pad (the oil will begin to dissolve) and remove your makeup. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes!

Coconut oil and hair: If your hair is dry, damaged, or color-treated, you should definitely start using coconut oil. Use it as a mask before shampooing. Apply the oil to the mid-lengths of your hair and leave it on for about an hour. After that, wash your hair with your favorite shampoo. Due to the oil's oily consistency, shampoo will wash away excess oil, while what should be absorbed will remain in the hair—so use it before washing. Then, blow-dry your hair. It will become much softer and shinier.

Coconut oil and the face: Before applying any product to your face – even natural ones – do a spot test to make sure you're not allergic to it. If everything checks out, you can replace your eye cream or night cream with coconut oil. It takes longer to absorb, but it's incredibly soothing and moisturizing for dry skin. Coconut oil + Himalayan salt = facial scrub.

Coconut oil and the body: Besides its obvious moisturizing properties, coconut oil is also a reliable hair removal product. It also has antibacterial properties, so you can forget about red bumps or irritation. You also don't need to use lotion afterward, as the oil will perfectly moisturize your legs while you shave. It will also soften calluses on your heels and elbows, and moisturize your hands. Coconut oil + coarse salt/sugar = a super-moisturizing body scrub!

Dairy for the face

Who hasn't heard of Cleopatra's famous, rejuvenating milk baths? Indeed, there's some truth to this, as milk or plain yogurt will regenerate our tired skin. If you want your skin to rest, you don't have to jump into a bathtub full of milk right away. First, wash your face with it. Plain yogurt is also good for tired skin, as it  Straight from the fridge and applied to the face in the morning, it will wonderfully nourish your complexion. Leave it on for just a few minutes, and your skin will regain its tone and freshness. Natural yogurt with freshly grated horseradish works best for acne-prone skin. This mask will nourish your complexion and is also an excellent remedy for pimples.

The beneficial effects of cucumber

When cleansing your face and moisturizing your body, don't forget to take care of your pores. Cucumber juice is your best ally, as it tightens them. Remember that most vitamins are found just beneath the skin, so it's worth occasionally covering your face with just the skin and leaving this "mask" on for about 20 minutes. It owes its properties to its high water content, vitamins (A, B, PP, C), and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and iron.
