Lazy Saturday? Why not!

Leniwa sobota? Czemu nie!

Summer is still a long way off, and unfortunately, the weather isn't exactly cozy. While it's perfect for winter fun, it's unlikely to be to the liking of cold-blooded people. Sooner or later, we'll have to return to work and our daily routines. Traveling during the winter months may not be as rewarding as it is during warmer weather. That's why we're increasingly seeking solace and relaxation during a short weekend. For some, having no plans for a specific day is unthinkable, but sometimes a lazy and unplanned Saturday is the perfect culmination of a long week.

Freedom above all

Very often, workdays, which usually fall between Monday and Friday, oblige us to adhere to a dress code. We strive to look neat and tidy, wearing elegant clothes that don't always provide comfort and ease. That's why Saturday begs to be worn all day in our favorite sweatpants. A lazy Saturday morning requires nothing more than dressing casually and preparing breakfast without rushing. The rest of the day should be equally leisurely. Spend it playing board games with family or watching movies together.

Enjoy your bath

During the week, it's hard to find a relaxing, long bath because we're always rushing around. It usually ends with a rushed morning shower and hair that's not dry enough. Fortunately, you can compensate for this frustration by enjoying a relaxing bath on Saturday morning. Fill the bathtub with water, grab your favorite magazine, light some candles, and use your favorite bath oil. Don't check the clock—you have the whole day to yourself. After this dose of relaxation, you'll be ready to tackle the rest of this wonderfully lazy day.

Be the host of your day

A lazy Saturday doesn't mean an antisocial Saturday. Quite the opposite! However, make sure you have good company and invite your closest friends over for dinner. Inviting guests, even your closest ones, usually involves a shopping spree, the stress of preparing everything perfectly, and the rush to get everything ready. Stop! You can do the shopping together. As the host, you can assign each person a specific role – some peel vegetables, others wash dishes. Another solution is to prepare some of the items the day before, so that you only need to heat or season them on Saturday.

Turn up the music

There's nothing wrong with watching your favorite series, but it's good music that can truly lift your spirits. Turn up the volume throughout your home and enjoy singing your favorite song while reading a book or cooking.

Plan your menu for the next week

Does planning what you'll eat at work tomorrow stress you out? If so, it's probably because you're doing it at the last minute. Often, you end up with a quick snack instead of a full-fledged meal. Saturday is the perfect time to plan everything and do your shopping (remember online shopping!). While your favorite music plays in the background, look for simple and healthy meals you can prepare the evening before or freeze or preserve. If you enjoy cooking, it'll be a real pleasure. If you're not feeling your best in the kitchen, maybe it's worth working on it calmly and without stress?

Everyone's rushing around these days. And when they do stay, it's in hotels on vacation or weekend trips. Sometimes, however, it's worth staying home to lazily recharge your batteries for the next week of work. Not only can we spend time with our loved ones, but we can also, in peace and quiet, do things we simply don't have time for in our everyday lives. Don't feel guilty about a lazy Saturday. Contrary to appearances, it's not a wasted day at all.
