Over the past few years, the gym has ceased to be a place reserved exclusively for muscular men and has become a place where almost anyone can find themselves. A healthy lifestyle is constantly promoted by mass media, with more and more gyms and fitness clubs opening in the area, and at every corner you'll find a restaurant offering healthy meals. Being fit is currently one of the strongest trends.

We go to the gym to work up a sweat, look good, and feel good (or to ease the guilt of snacking between meals). Despite the common belief that we should go to the gym makeup-free, in sweatpants, and a ponytail because, after all, "it's not a fashion show," we know better. We're women—we want to look good and feel confident in every situation. However, applying proper, long-lasting makeup is a challenge for every active woman.

We women aren't always 100% satisfied with the appearance and condition of our skin. Gyms are public places, which can make us feel self-conscious about not wearing makeup – even though we should be focused solely on exercise, not worrying about skin imperfections.

Makeup step by step

The steps to follow to create a perfect and simple gym makeup look are:

  1. Applying a thin layer of primer;
  2. Applying concealer and blush;

Mineral foundation: Apply one or two thin layers of mineral foundation to your skin. It's important to apply the product in layers to achieve the perfect coverage. To perfectly apply mineral foundation, you'll need a kabuki or flat-top brush, which will blend the mineral foundation flawlessly onto your skin.

Concealer: After applying a layer of foundation, apply concealer to the skin. I recommend a special concealer brush, which is perfect for application. Pat the concealer (do not blend it – blending it reduces coverage and effectiveness) into areas where skin imperfections are visible.

Blush: Once your complexion is perfectly natural, you can add a touch of blush. Cool-toned individuals prefer pinks and plums (e.g., Romantic, Rose, or Nude), while warm-toned individuals prefer soft browns and peaches (e.g., Sunrise, Coral, Honey).

It is also worth taking care of the proper appearance of eyelashes and lips.

Eyelashes: Apply a light coat of mascara to your lashes to add definition to your eyes. If you're a light blonde, try a mascara in a brown shade.

Lips: Apply a lip balm or lipstick to your lips to ensure they are properly moisturized.
