Crumbled powder or eyeshadow, dried-out mascara, or cosmetics that are running low and hard to get out of the packaging. Or maybe you're stuck with no idea how to lengthen your lashes without applying false eyelashes, or your blush is applied unevenly? We've probably all encountered this problem and wrung our hands in frustration more than once. Don't panic, there's a solution. A little creativity is all it takes to restore the crumbled cosmetic to its original function, to use up all the products, and finally, to perfect makeup.
Not very long eyelashes
Unfortunately, many women struggle with naturally lengthening their lashes. Sometimes it's simply hard to find the perfect mascara that meets their expectations, and short lashes are part of their natural beauty. There's no point in complaining, because short lashes aren't really a problem. If mascara isn't enough for you, use an eyelash curler. For an even better effect, wet your lashes before applying it, then grab the eyelash curler while still wet and gently blow-dry. The effect will be instantaneous. If you don't have an eyelash curler, a spoon is a great alternative! This time, warm the spoon briefly with the warm air from the dryer, then place it with the bottom above your lash line. With one finger, gently hold the outer corner of your eye with your lashes, and with the other, carefully gather and press the remaining lashes against the spoon. You'll achieve the same effect as with an eyelash curler.
Dried mascara
If you bought mascara and ended up not using it very often, you probably realize it's dried out, even though you haven't opened it or only occasionally. However, if you absolutely must use it, pour a little makeup remover into the mascara and mix (do this very gently to avoid incorporating too much air). Your makeup is back! However, if your mascara is completely gone, you can still use it on your eyebrows. The brush will perfectly shape and separate them, and the remaining mascara will give them a vibrant color.
(Never)ending cosmetics
It's quite annoying when we buy cosmetics we can't use up. This is the case, for example, with lipsticks, which we throw away. While removing cosmetics from easily cut tubes is convenient and we do it in the privacy of our own home, digging out lipstick remnants with our finger in public won't look good. Fortunately, there's a solution. Scoop out the remaining product onto a spoon, then hold the spoon over a low flame. Wait until the lipstick melts completely, then pour it into a small container. Bravo! You've just created a new lip gloss that you can easily use up. In this case, applying the product with your finger won't look bad, as you can buy the same packaging at the drugstore.
Unevenly highlighted cheeks
The art of evenly and correctly highlighting cheekbones is more difficult than it seems. You need to skillfully and sensitively "draw figure eights" not only on the cheeks, but also on the temples and forehead, and finally, accentuate the nose and chin. However, if you want a quick yet even application of blush or bronzer (or simply don't have experience applying such cosmetics yet), reach for a credit card (the aforementioned spoon also works perfectly). Blush should always be applied below the cheekbones. It's quite simple to determine the ideal spot for the blush. Place your thumbs below your earlobes and open your mouth. You'll feel the delicate dimples. Then, with your fingers, slowly move downward, along the cheekbone. You've just highlighted your cheek! Apply the blush exactly where you touched it. To do this precisely, place the card against the cheekbone (or cover it with a spoon) and apply the blush below. Do this on both sides, then gently blend the cosmetic with a blush brush or a thick kabuki brush.
Pressed cosmetics in loose form
There's nothing worse when your favorite (or worse, new!) cosmetic ends up on the floor, or something happens to it that causes it to turn into a powder instead of a stone. The only thought that comes to mind is to write it off. Wait a minute! And there's a solution. Gather the crushed cosmetic and return it to the container. Add a few drops of pure alcohol and mix thoroughly to remove any lumps (you can use the tip of a brush for this). Then gently tap it down and leave for about half an hour for the mixture to thicken. Once it has thickened and is no longer sticky (but is still slightly pliable), gently press it into the container and leave until the alcohol evaporates completely, preferably overnight. Your cosmetic is restored!
As you can see, there's no point in wringing your hands when things don't go your way. There's a solution to every problem, so keep your chin up! From now on, your makeup will always be perfectly applied, and every last drop of your cosmetics will be used. All it takes is a little creativity. :)
