Well-groomed nails? Naturally!

Zadbane paznokcie? Naturalnie!
The oil craze has been in full swing for a few months now. We apply oils to our hair, face, and body, making them more beautiful. It's also worth incorporating oils into nail care.
I used to associate using cuticle oil with greasy, messy fingers and only a light lubrication of the nail area. After some experimentation, the first part of the sentence is unfortunately still true, but I've discovered a whole host of additional benefits. Can cuticle oil replace nail conditioner? Maybe!

What to use to oil?

Ditch the cuticle oils – they usually have mineral oil, or simply paraffin, as their first ingredient. It will lubricate and create a filter on your skin, but it won't nourish your nails. Furthermore, it can be incredibly clogged – I don't recommend touching your face after using paraffin-based products; for me, it usually ends in breakouts.
It's best to use natural plant oils. Coconut oil, castor oil, almond oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil, and many others.
You can also buy ready-made blends; for years, my favorite oils have been the multi-purpose ones from Annabelle Minreals: Stay Calm, Stay Essential, and Stay Pure.

Homemade nail conditioner

A great idea is to create your own mixture. It's best to prepare it in an empty, thoroughly washed nail polish bottle. The composition is entirely up to you, depending on your preferences and what you have at home. It's worth adding vitamin E to your homemade mixture, which you can find at any pharmacy.

How to oil your nails?

It's really very simple. It's best if the oil comes in a bottle with a brush or a pen with a convenient applicator. Simply apply the oil to your cuticles and under your nails once or twice a day and massage it in thoroughly. If your nails aren't painted, it's worth applying the oil to the nail plate as well.
A good idea is to briefly soak your hands in warm oil. Lightly heat a small amount of your favorite blend (microwave-friendly), sit comfortably, and soak your nails in the oil for 10 minutes, gently massaging the cuticles and nail bed.

What are the benefits of oiling your nails?

The first effect of using oils will be better-looking, moisturized cuticles. They'll stop peeling, and those growing onto the nail plate can be easily pushed back with a wooden stick because they're soft and thin. After a few weeks, the effect will also be visible on the nail plate—it will become less brittle, more flexible, and stronger.

It's worth incorporating oils into your daily nail care routine. Once you start and see the first results, you won't want to stop.
